“Hornitos Tequila launches fun twist on Met Gala
with Hornitos Mex Gala on Cinco de Mayo”

AMNY

Case Study

A gala anyone can walk into

Cinco de Mayo landed on the Met Gala’s big night, so we flipped the script.
We threw our own gala for the people, not the guest list. Swapping diamonds for salt rims and velvet ropes for papel picado.
We called it the Mex Gala: no dress code, no VIPs, just fresh margaritas and real culture taking center stage.
We turned a night of exclusivity into a celebration of inclusivity, and made sure everyone,
from New York to their living rooms, had a reason to raise a glass.

HOW WE LAUNCHED

The not-so-famous-but-famous comedian Keyla kicked off the campaign with a tongue-in-cheek film that set the tone:
Funny, self-aware, and a little rebellious.

Once the film dropped, we turned the internet (and a few New York walls) into our runway.
Wheat-pastes across from the Met, tongue-in-cheek social drops.

EASY TO GET IN

To get into the party? Easy. No need to know anyone. Just RSVP on our website, and you were in.

THE PARTY FOR EVERYONE

Everyone was invited. And somehow, everyone actually showed up. DJs, dancers, friends, strangers, someone’s cousin,
and probably a few people who just heard “tequila included.”

THE AT HOME FIESTA

Couldn’t make it to NYC? No problem. We sent out Mex Gala Kits so people could party from home,
with salt rims, papel picado, and a reason to celebrate wherever they were.

Some galas end with champagne.
Ours ended with the reason champagne wishes it were tequila.
