To launch DoorDash’s new Reservations platform, we didn’t talk about premium dining access, we built it. From scratch and out of sand in the middle of Miami. The Sand CastleDonna was a full-scale restaurant sculpted from 100 tons of sand, serving Italian food in a structure people couldn’t believe was real. And there was only one way in: booking through DoorDash. In four days, it became a citywide spectacle. Part art installation, part culinary event, fully impossible to ignore. A reservation you bragged about long before the food arrived. The result? A simple demonstration of brand power: when technology unlocks an experience people actually want, it stops being a feature and becomes a cultural moment.
